NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is a government initiative that works to provide necessary care and support to people with disabilities and their families. The NDIS funds the costs associated with caring for people with disabilities and the support they get to perform their routine activities.

NDIS funding is the financial aid provided by the NDIS to the people eligible for the scheme. People eligible for the scheme, also known as NDIS participants, can utilise the funding per their requirements and needs.

To be eligible for NDIS funding, one must:

• Have a permanent and significant disability or a developmental delay
• Be an Australian citizen, or hold a permanent visa or a Protected Special Category visa
• Be under 65 years of age (if over 65 years, a person must have had an NDIS plan before attaining the age of 65)
• Need support from a person or equipment to do everyday activities

The person with a disability who fulfils all NDIS eligibility conditions and has received approval from NDIA to be eligible for NDIS funding is an NDIS participant.

NDIS providers are authorised individuals or organisations that provide care and support services or assistance equipment to the NDIS participants. Abundant Living Community Services is an NDIS-registered provider of disability care and support services to NDIS participants.
